Feed the Homeless - Lighthouse Ministries

Monday, January 15, 2024
9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
215 E Magnolia St,
Lakeland, FL 33801

Join the USF Polk Alumni Chapter for this year's Stampede of Service. The morning will begin with a tour of Lighthouse Ministries. A tour is a great way to learn more about how Lighthouse Ministries serves the homeless population in West Central Florida. The tour will be followed by an opportunity to help prepare meals for the homeless in the program as well as the overnight guests. There may be other small projects around the ministry as well that morning. Although we would love for you to stay the entire time, you can leave when you're ready. If you are unable to attend the morning event, there will be an opportunity to participate in the canned food drive later that day at 4 p.m. at the Joinery (640 E Main St, Lakeland FL, 33801) by bringing three canned food items to help replenish local pantries after holiday food drives. A volunteer intake form will need to be completed upon arrival to Lighthouse Ministries. So arrive at 8:45 a.m., if possible.

Lighthouse Ministries - Lighthouse Ministries is set apart by the Spirit of God to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to meet the physical, emotional, and other needs of the poor and at-risk population.
