Join us for this impactful service event
Join the USF College of Public Health Alumni Society for a morning of service with Metropolitan Ministries benefitting our local Tampa Bay community. After making an impact, join the society for a self-paid lunch to follow at the Flan Factory!
What to Expect:
As a Saturday Morning Volunteer, you will support the mission by assisting in one of the following areas:
- Garden: Help us grow fresh produce for clients by weeding, mulching, or performing other garden-related tasks.
- Clothing Warehouse/Thrift Store: Accept donations, sort and choose donated items for the thrift store
- Kitchen: Clean the kitchen, prep, cook, and serve food to residents and community partners (for ages 12+ only)
- Environmental: Keep the groups of Metropolitan Ministries clean and beautiful, ensuring a nice environment for the residents and community
Dress Code:
- Please be sure to wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and a shirt with sleeves (jeans and short sleeves T-shirt are great; no tank tops)
Parking:
- You can park in the large parking lot at 120 E Ross Ave., or across the street at 2001 N. Florida Ave.
Check-In:
- Go to the Volunteer Engagement Center located at 120 E Ross Ave. near the center of the building with the blue awning.
