Wilkins is a faculty member in USF’s Judy Genshaft Honors College and a distinguished educator whose work focuses on health humanities and community‑engaged scholarship.

In this session, Wilkins will explore how encounters with visual art can support the well‑being of both patients and health-care providers. Drawing on her teaching and her collaborative research with the James Museum of Art, she will demonstrate how hands‑on engagement with artwork can strengthen communication, observation, and cognitive skills — and guide attendees in discovering how these abilities connect to broader concepts of health and wellness.
